Follow these easy steps to get your Zanussi ZRC 243W Refrigerator up and running in no time.
Remove all packaging and adhesive tape from the appliance. Check the refrigerator for any transport damage and do not install if it is damaged.
Place the refrigerator in a cool, well-ventilated room, ensuring it is not close to any heat sources such as radiators or boilers. Maintain a clearance space of 10 cm above the appliance, which can be reduced to 5 cm if there is a 2.5 cm space on either side.
Ensure that any electrical work is done by a qualified electrician. Check that the power plug and cable are not damaged and connect the appliance to the electrical supply.
After transportation, let the appliance stand for 2 hours without switching it on to allow the refrigerant to settle.
Before use, clean the inside of the refrigerator using lukewarm water and a little bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Avoid using soap or detergent as these may leave an odor.
Plug in the appliance and switch it on at the mains supply. Turn the thermostat control inside the refrigerator to a setting of 3-4 for normal operation.
Leave the refrigerator to run for approximately 4 hours before placing any food inside to ensure it reaches the correct temperature.
